1 crore jobs soon, CII working with Corporate Ministry

For this, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is working with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the government to provide employment to the youth under the PM Internship Scheme. CII has said that it is working closely with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to implement the PM Internship Scheme announced in the Budget. PM Internship Scheme aims to provide internship opportunities to 1 crore youth in 500 top CSR companies in the next five years.
Youth will get jobs in MSME
CII said that it is acting as an important intermediary between the government and the industry and is working on effective implementation of the PM Internship Scheme. The PM Internship Scheme will enhance the employability of the youth in India by exposing them to the real-world business environment. CII said that this scheme will also benefit the industry, because it will create a batch of youth ready to work efficiently. After internship, they will be able to get employment in big and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME).
Corporate Ministry launches user friendly platform
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has also launched a user-friendly platform for this scheme. It will act as a center and be a link between companies and interested trainees. With this, the application and participation processes for the scheme can be conducted smoothly. CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee said that due to the increasing talent shortage in industries, the PM Internship Scheme acts as an important link. By providing on-the-job training to the youth, it will prepare them to meet the demands of the emerging industry. It will also ensure that businesses have access to a skilled and agile future workforce, which will drive growth and innovation.
