A 23-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide in West Bengal’s Bankura district after India lost to Australia in the ODI Cricket World Cup final. His family members informed about this. Police said that the incident took place near the cinema hall in Beliatore police station area at around 11 pm on Sunday night. He told that the deceased youth has been identified as Rahul Lohar. Uttam Sur, a relative of Rahul, said that he worked at a clothing shop in the area and had taken leave on Sunday to watch the final match. Sur said that being saddened by India’s defeat to Australia, he went to his room and hanged himself. Rahul’s relative claimed that there was no such problem in his life. At the same time, the police said that Rahul’s body has been sent to Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem on Monday morning and a case of unnatural death has been registered.
