7th Pay Commission DA Hike: There is good news for central government employees. If you are also waiting for increased salary, then a big amount is going to come in your account.

According to media reports, an announcement can be made to increase the dearness allowance of central employees from July 1. However, so far no announcement has been made by the government regarding the DA hike.

Explain that the DA of central government employees increases twice a year. One from January and the other from July. The DA hike, applicable from January 2023, was announced in March 2023. The government had increased the DA by 4%, which has increased the DA to 42%. Now the government will increase DA for the first time in the current financial year in July.

According to the April data of AICPI, there may be an increase of 3 to 4 percent in the salary of the employees. However, it will also depend on the figures for May and June. If the AICPI figures for May and June are good, then 4 percent dearness allowance and dearness relief (DR) may increase.

How much DA will increase

If there is an increase in DA by 4 percent, then the DA of the employees will be 46 percent. According to media reports, the AICPI figure for April is 134.2 points and the DA score is 45.06. The index is likely to reach 46.40 during May and June. This means that a 4 per cent hike in DA is almost certain.
