New Delhi, 13 February (HS). The domestic stock market is showing strength today. Today’s trading also started with gains. However, due to selling pressure immediately after the market opening, both the Sensex and Nifty indices fell into the red. But after this, buyers took charge, due to which both the indices recovered and started trading back in the green. After the first hour of trading, Sensex was trading up by 0.59 percent and Nifty up by 0.50 percent.
After the first one hour of trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, shares of ICICI Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Coal India, UPL and HDFC Life were trading with a gain of 2.20 percent to 1.87 percent. On the other hand, shares of Hindalco Industries, Power Grid Corporation, Grasim Industries, Adani Enterprise and Wipro were seen trading with a fall of 13.19 percent to 1.09 percent.
In the current trading, there was active trading in 2,069 shares in the stock market. Of these, 607 shares were trading in the green after earning profits, while 1,462 shares were trading in the red after incurring losses. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 21 shares remained in the green with the support of buying. On the other hand, 9 shares were trading in the red due to selling pressure. Whereas out of the stocks included in Nifty, 36 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and 14 stocks were seen trading in the red mark.
BSE Sensex opened today at 71,292.08 points with a gain of 219.59 points. Due to selling pressure as soon as the trading started, this index fell in the red and reached 70,924.30 points within a short time. But after this, buyers started buying all round, due to which this index gained momentum. With the support of continuous buying, within a short time this index jumped by about 430 points to the level of 71,503.89 points. After the first hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am the Sensex was trading at 71,489.38 points with a gain of 416.89 points.
Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty started trading today at 21,664.30 points with a gain of 48.25 points. As soon as the market opened, due to selling pressure, this index also fell in the red to 21,543.35 points. But after this, Nifty also gained momentum due to the support of buying. With the support of continuous buying, this index reached back into the green mark. After continuous buying and selling in the market for the first one hour, at 10:15 am Nifty was trading at 21,724.30 points with a gain of 108.25 points.
Before this, on the last trading day on Monday, the Sensex had closed at the level of 71,072.49 points with a weakness of 523 points or 0.73 percent. At the same time, Nifty ended Monday’s trading at the level of 21,616.05 points with a decline of 166.45 points or 0.76 percent.
