Dubai. Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for Saturday’s terror attack on a military base in Somalia’s capital. Officials gave this information on Sunday. In this attack, three United Arab Emirates (UAE) soldiers and a Bahraini military officer, who were on a training mission at the military base, were killed. The attack was carried out on Saturday targeting soldiers at the General Gordon military base in Mogadishu. Details of the attack and whether anyone else was killed are not known.

Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed his condolences to the people of the country over the death of UAE soldiers in the attack. According to the report, two other people were injured in the attack.
