New Delhi. Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells dairy products under the Amul brand, posted a 18.5 per cent rise in revenue to Rs 55,055 crore on better demand. GCMMF said in a statement on Sunday that the company has registered a tentative turnover of Rs 55,055 crore in the financial year 2022-23. It added that its overall turnover growth of 18.5 per cent is largely due to demand for branded consumer products.

“Our new products grew by 21 per cent, contributing 50 per cent to the company’s business, and the ice cream category grew by 41 per cent,” the statement said. GCMMF Chairman Shamalbhai Patel said that the mantra of rapid expansion has clearly paid off well for GCMMF. Patel said, “Based on the projected growth in market demand for Amul products and our future marketing efforts, the company aims to achieve a sales turnover of Rs 1 lakh crore by 2025 and grow at a compounded rate of over 20 per cent over the next seven years.” The plan is to proceed with the annual growth rate.
