Apple Vision Pro Headset is not what I want: Zuckerberg

San Francisco: In a meeting with employees, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg discussed Apple’s Vision Pro headset launch, saying it may be the vision of the future of computing, but it’s not the one I want. During the company’s meeting, Zuckerberg said that Apple’s device didn’t make any major advances in technology that Meta hasn’t already explored, The Verge reported on Friday.

He added how the Meta Quest 3 will be able to reach a larger user base due to the headset’s lower price of $499 compared to the $3,499 selling price of the Vision Pro. “I think their announcement really shows a difference in value and vision, which is really important,” said the Meta CEO. According to Zuckerberg, the Quest headset is about being active and doing things, in new ways for people to interact and feel closer.

“It may be the vision of the future of computing, but it’s not the one I want,” he said of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote. The iPhone maker earlier this week unveiled the ‘Vision Pro’ headset, which blends the digital world with the real world around us.
