Asian Games mascots – Dainik Savera Times

The mascots of Beijing Asian Games, Guangzhou Asian Games and Hangzhou Asian Games were seen together. The 19th Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou city of Zhejiang province in south-east China from September 23 to October 8. This is the third Asian Games to be held in China after Beijing and Guangzhou. In the year 1990, Asian Games were organized in Beijing, the capital of China.

It was the first comprehensive international sports competition hosted by China after the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy. This gave a signal of openness to the world. The mascot of the Beijing Asian Games was a panda.
Then in the year 2010, Asian Games were organized in Guangzhou city of South China. Then China had become the second largest economic power in the world. The five sheep were the mascots of the Kwangcho Asian Games, representing auspiciousness, harmony, happiness and perfection.

Hangzhou Asian Games is going to be organized in the year 2023. Hangzhou is home to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the remains of Liangchu Ancient City, and the West Lake, all of which are world cultural heritages. The mascots of the Hangzhou Asian Games represent these three cultural heritages, showing the world a China of cultural confidence, gentleness, restraint, innovation and development.
