In this month i.e. April, a total of 15 days of bank holidays are going to be observed in different zones. Along with this, two long weekends (Long Weekend in April) are also coming this month. The first long weekend is on 14, 15 and 16 April. Whereas, the second long weekend is on 21, 22 and 23 April. As per RBI rules, every Sunday and second-fourth Saturday of every month is a bank holiday. Let us know on which dates the banks will remain closed this month.

April 1, 2023 – Due to bank account closing on this day, there will be a holiday in banks.

2 April 2023 – Banks will have a weekly holiday due to Sunday.

April 4, 2023 – Due to Mahavir Jayanti, there will be a bank holiday in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur and Ranchi zones.

5 April 2023 – Babu Jagjivan Ran’s birthday. On this day there will be a bank holiday in Telangana zone.

7 April 2023 – Due to Good Friday, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Telangana, Imphal, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji Banks will be closed in Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong and Kerala zones.

8 April 2023 – Banks will have a weekly holiday due to the second Saturday.

April 9, 2023 – Banks will have a weekly holiday due to Sunday.

14 April 2023 – Due to Ambedkar Jayanti, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Telangana, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, There will be bank holiday in Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Ranchi, Srinagar and Kerala.

15 April 2023 – Due to Bohag Bihu, there will be a holiday for banks in Agartala, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Shimla and Kerala zones.

16 April 2023 – Banks will have a weekly holiday due to Sunday.

18 April 2023 – Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar zones due to Shab-e-Kadra.

21 April 2023 – Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Kerala due to Eid.

22 April 2023 – Banks will remain closed due to being the fourth Saturday.

23 April 2023 – Being a Sunday, banks will have a weekly holiday.

30 April 2023 – Being a Sunday, banks will have a weekly holiday.
