Barcelona beat Betis 5-0 with goals from Flix and Cancelo – Dainik Savera Times

Barcelona: Xu Felix and Xu Cancelo made their debut for Barcelona and scored goals as they thrashed Real Betis 5-0 in the Spanish football league La Liga. This pair of Portuguese international players had made their debut as substitute players for Barcelona in the last round match.

Both of them joined the defending champions just hours before the summer transfer window closed. Flix scored the first goal in Saturday’s match while Cancelo scored the fifth goal to ensure the defending champion team’s biggest win of the current season. Other goals for the team were scored by Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres and Raphinha.

Torres became the first player since Lionel Messi in May 2021 to score a direct goal from a free kick for Barcelona. With this win, Barcelona has reached the top of the points table and has taken a one-point lead over Real Madrid, who have to play Real Sociedad on Sunday. In other matches of the day, Athletic Bilbao beat Cedis 3-0 while Majorca beat Celta Vigo 1-0.
