As per the rules, the department has said that if the residence recorded in the registration certificate is changed by the vehicle owner, then he will provide the information about the new address to the competent authority within 30 days. Action will be taken against its violation as per rules. At the same time, to update the mobile number, the mobile number linked to Aadhaar will have to be given. The facility to update is available on the Parivahan Seva Portal.
The work can be done sitting at home
In case the number is not updated, you will not be able to make the pollution certificate of the vehicle. If the mobile number is not in use or you want to update a new number, then you can easily update the mobile number sitting at home. You can update the mobile number in vehicle registration at parivahan.gov.in or the mobile number in driving license at sarathi.parivahan.gov.in online.
Know the updating process
To update mobile number in vehicle registration number online, go to vahan.parivahan.gov.in, come here and click on online service. Then you have to click on Vehicle Related Services. Then the option to choose the state will come. After selecting RTO, click on update mobile number. Here you will have to fill the vehicle registration number, chassis number, engine number, registration date. Then you will see the show details option on the screen. After clicking here, you will enter the registered mobile number and Aadhaar number and will get OTP, the mobile number will be updated as soon as you enter the OTP.
At the same time, to update the phone number in DL, you will have to go to Sarathi.parivahan.gov.in and click on Driving License Related Services. Then you will see the option to select the name of the state. Here, after selecting mobile number updation, you will enter Aadhaar number and then OTP will come. The mobile number will be updated as soon as the OTP is entered.
