Canadian Punjabi singer Shubneet Singh better known as Shubh. He is now facing protests ahead of his upcoming concert in Mumbai. Singer has done some such work in the past due to which he has been opposed in India. In fact, he once shared the controversial map of India on social media. In which Punjab and Kashmir were not from India. He always speaks in support of Khalistan. A rising sensation in the music industry, Shubh has gained popularity with songs like “Elevated,” “OG,” and “Cheeks” which are loved not only in India but across the world. Even former Team India captain Virat Kohli was seen dancing to Shubh’s ‘Elevated’ song in a viral video, although he later unfollowed the singer on Instagram amid the controversy. KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya have also unfollowed the singer.
On Tuesday (September 19), Indian consumer electronics brand boAt announced its decision to withdraw its sponsorship from the upcoming tour of Canada-based singer and Khalistan supporter Shubneet Singh aka Shubh. Notably, their show will be held at Cordelia Cruises, Mumbai from 23rd to 25th September.
Giving information about its decision, boAt on X (formerly Twitter) said that it is first and foremost an Indian brand. Citing the controversial past of Shubh, who earlier this year shared a distorted map of India to express solidarity with Khalistani terrorists, the company withdrew its collaboration with the Canadian singer.

Consumer-based electronics brand Boat said it has decided to withdraw its sponsorship of Canada-based Punjabi singer Shubneet Singh’s upcoming India concert.
The 26-year-old artiste, popularly known as Shubh, is scheduled to perform on Cordelia Cruises in Mumbai from September 23 to 25 and is also scheduled to tour across the country with performances in cities like New Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. On Tuesday, Boat announced on social media platform X that it would be withdrawing its sponsorship of the Canadian singer’s India tour, citing comments made by the artist earlier this year.
Bot said on social media platform “At Boat, while our commitment to the incredible music community runs deep, we are first and foremost a true Indian brand. Therefore, when we came to know about the comments made by artiste Shubh earlier this year, we decided to withdraw our sponsorship from the tour. “We will continue to foster a vibrant music culture in India and create platforms where emerging artists can showcase their talent,” the company said.
It is noteworthy that Shubh had earlier shared a distorted map of India, for which he was accused of supporting Khalistani separatists.
Just a few days ago, members of the Bharatiya Yuva Morcha (BYJM) had removed posters promoting Shubh’s concert.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Tajinder Singh Tiwana told news agency ANI that “there is no place for Khalistanis who are enemies of the integrity and unity of India”. “We will not allow Canadian singer Shubh to perform in Mumbai, the holy land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj…If no appropriate action is taken the organizers will have to face our protest,” he said.
