The United States has said it is deeply concerned by the allegations made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In a statement, White House National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said we are deeply concerned about the allegations referenced by Prime Minister Trudeau. “We remain in regular contact with our Canadian partners,” he was quoted as saying by the Associated Press. It is important that the Canadian investigation moves forward and that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

In a speech in the House of Commons on Monday, Trudeau said Canadian security agencies are actively pursuing credible allegations of a possible connection between Indian government agents and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen. India on Tuesday reacted sharply to Trudeau’s allegations, calling them “absurd” and motivated. Meanwhile, Canada expelled an Indian diplomat because he was investigating Trudeau’s claims in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Hardeep Singh Nijjar, 45, the chief of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and one of India’s most wanted terrorists, who had a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head.

He was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen outside a Gurudwara in Surrey.
