Chhath Puja has started from 17th November. On Saturday (18 November), Chhath fasting people completed the ritual of Kharna Puja. Since afternoon, Chhath devotees reached various Chhath ghats and reservoirs for bathing and worship. After special worship in the evening, Chhath devotees offered Prasad to Chhath Mata and took Kheer Prasad. On (19th November) Chhath Vrati reached the ghats and offered Arghya to the setting sun. Today, on 20th November, the fast was completed with offering Arghya to the rising sun. Celebrating Chhath, the great festival of folk faith, with enthusiasm and excitement, people prayed at the ghats for its early arrival next year. Many people said that because of this great festival they come to meet their families. Therefore, it is eagerly awaited throughout the year. Sun God and Chhathi Maiya are worshiped in this festival.
