Could problems increase for these top Bollywood stars including Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone and Neha Kakkar? ED will send summons in betting related case

Only after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the investigating agencies have been interrogating top stars in Bollywood, sometimes on drugs and sometimes on illegal activities like fraud. While recently the news of Govinda’s name being involved in the ponzi scam made a lot of headlines in the media, now such a news is coming from the Bollywood industry due to which the film industry is once again under the scanner. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to summon top Bollywood actors and singers in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Mahadev online betting case. A news item published on India Today reported about the actors and singers who attended the wedding ceremony of Mahadev Book App promoter, Saurabh Chandrakar in the UAE in February this year. These include Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Neha Kakkar, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Asgar, Vishal Dadlani, Elli Avram, Bharti Singh, Bhagyashree, Kriti Kharbanda, Nushrat Bharucha, Krushna Abhishek and Sukhwinder Singh.

In a video which is said to be of Saurabh Chandrakar’s wedding, Bollywood biggies are seen present. Now sources have revealed that the app’s success party organized by Chandrakar and other promoter Ravi Uppal in September last year was also being investigated. Many Bollywood actors and singers also attended the success party, who are now under the scanner of ED. Sources said that for both the events, Bollywood biggies received cash payments through hawala from event management firms. He also said that a ‘top’ actor was roped in for the app’s success party this year and he was paid in crores by the event agency.
ED action in the case
The Enforcement Directorate on Friday seized assets worth Rs 417 crore in the Mahadev online betting case. The company was running operations from Dubai and was allegedly using online book betting applications to enroll new users, create user IDs and launder funds through a layered web of anonymous bank accounts. ED said that large-scale hawala operations are conducted to send betting money to foreign accounts. It added that huge sums of money are also being spent in India to advertise betting websites to attract new users and franchise (panel) seekers. The promoters of the company hail from Bhilai, Chhattisgarh and Mahadev Online Book Betting Application is a major syndicate arranging online platforms to enable illegal betting websites.
