Daylight killings of Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan, cases of kidnapping and forced marriage of Hindu girls also increased rapidly.

Attacks on minorities are increasing in Pakistan amid economic and food crisis. Sometimes a Hindu is being shot and sometimes a Sikh. The cases of forced conversion and forced marriage of Hindu girls have also increased rapidly but the Government of Pakistan is sitting idly by. Sikh businessman killed in Peshawar

Apart from this, incidents of public killing of Hindus keep happening in Pakistan, now in Peshawar city, unknown assailants have shot dead a Sikh businessman. Police said the incident took place around 3 pm on Friday when some motorcycle-borne persons opened fire on Dayal Singh, a businessman, in Peshawar’s Deer Colony area. He said that the attackers fled after committing the crime. Police have recovered 30 bore cartridges from the spot. The incident took place a day after a Hindu doctor was shot dead by unknown assailants in Karachi. Last week, shopkeepers from the minority Hindu community were attacked in Sindh province for “allegedly violating the Ramzan ordinance”, reported Pakistan’s Express Tribune newspaper. Let us tell you that about 15,000 Sikhs live in Peshawar. Most of them live in Jogan Shah of the provincial capital Peshawar. Most members of the Sikh community in Peshawar run businesses, while some run drug stores. In September last year, a renowned Sikh ‘hakim’ (Unani doctor) was shot dead inside his clinic by unknown gunmen in Peshawar.

Atrocities on Hindus are increasing in Pakistan

On the other hand, the issue of increasing atrocities on Hindus is also heating up. Several members of the community took out a march to draw attention to the problem of forced conversions of minority Hindus in Karachi and forced marriages of Hindu girls and women in the country. Hindu organization ‘Pakistan Darawar Ittehad’ (PDI) protested outside Karachi Press Club and at the entrance of Sindh Assembly building. In January this year, at least 12 UN human rights experts expressed concern over the rising incidence of kidnapping, forced conversion and forced marriage of underage girls in Pakistan. According to the report of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, about 1,000 girls are forcibly converted every year. As far as the Hindu population in Pakistan is concerned, according to an official estimate, there are 7.5 million Hindus living in the Muslim-majority country.

Jihadi recruitment going on in PoK

On the other hand, amid growing discontent among people in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the Pakistani army has launched its “Jihadi Recruitment” to persecute the local residents. In fact, due to rising inflation and poor economic conditions and government discrimination with the region, resentment against the Government of Pakistan is increasing in PoK. Not only this, in recent times slogans of Modi-Modi have been raised in PoK and the demand for merger with India has increased. Because of this, local people are being attacked on the instigation of the Government of Pakistan, for which Jihadis are being recruited. In this regard, PoK activist Dr. Amjad Ayub Mirza has alleged that Pakistan is recruiting youths to join ‘Jihad’ against India, apart from conducting attacks on the local people of PoK. Apart from exposing the nefarious design of Pakistan, he said that PoK should be merged with Mother India.
