New Delhi, 19 September (HS). Giving a big relief to the taxpayers, the Income Tax Department has also extended the deadline for filing audit reports including ITR-7 filing. Notification related to this has been issued.

The Income Tax Department said that the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for charitable trusts, religious institutions and professional bodies. CBDT has extended the deadline for filing Form ITR-7 by one month to November 30. CBDT has extended the due date for filing return of income in Form ITR-7 for assessment year 2023-24 from October 31 to November 30. ITR-7 is filed by political parties and electoral trusts, as well as institutions and professional bodies involved in charitable and religious activities.

According to the notification, CBDT has also extended the due date for submission of audit report for 2022-23 in Form 10B/10BB by any fund, trust, institution or any university or educational and medical institution by one month to October 31.
