Don’t have time to learn salon? So try Shortcut Pedicure at home – Dainik Savera Times

Mumbai: A pedicure is a medical treatment for your feet that removes dead skin, softens hard skin, and shapes and treats your toenails. Here are some pedicure shortcuts that you can do at your home for those women who do not have time to sit in beauty parlors for hours. Remember to do each step for only 30-50 seconds.

1: Use a buffing block to smooth the surface of each nail and remove yellow stains. Start with the gritty side, then switch to the smooth side, which adds shine. You can also use the gritty side to soften the skin on the tips of your toes.

2: Massage a rich foot cream into your skin, paying attention to the driest areas including the backs of the heels and around the cuticles.

3: Dip the feet in a tub of warm water and pat dry. Massage a handful of scrub onto the skin. Choose an oil-based product that will moisturize, remove dead, dry cells and gently rinse and dry your feet.

4: File your nails straight straight away to get an even shape. Wipe off any oil left on the nails with the foot scrub and polish remover. Then apply a quick-drying topcoat to make nails look shiny

5: Cut the nails straight using the clippers. Use three cuts on each nail, as cutting the entire nail at once may cut it too close to the skin. Smooth the edges with a fine-grit emery board.

6: Rub a generous amount of cream on your feet, up and down. Don’t forget your heels and cuticles. Clean off any remaining cream on nails with a cotton pad soaked in polish remover. Apply a base coat, two coats of nail color and a topcoat.
