Emraan Hashmi’s latest interview may create controversy? Made many big revelations about Bollywood, praised South films

Actor Emraan Hashmi will soon be seen in the Telugu film OG, in which he will play a negative role opposite Pawan Kalyan. In a recent interview, Imran said that he had never thought of doing a film in the South industry, leave alone doing a film as a villain. The actor recently played the villain in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3.

In an interview with The Times of India, Emraan said that he was attracted to the South film industry because the character he played in OG was well written. Imran also praised the film’s director Sujeeth and described him as “great”. He revealed that Sujeeth is making the film on a huge canvas.

Emraan Hashmi has a strong body of work in the Hindi film industry and has given many blockbuster films. He said that the work ethic of filmmakers in the South is different. He said, “I think the filmmakers of the South are much more disciplined than us (in Hindi cinema). They show every penny spent on their films on screen.

The actor believes that in the Hindi film industry, money is wasted in the wrong departments, and is not reflected on screen. The actor said that South films have beauty, especially when it comes to visual effects. The Tiger 3 star further said that Hindi cinema has a lot to learn from South films and filmmakers. Talking about his debut in the Telugu film industry, Emraan Hashmi had earlier said in a statement, “I am excited to start this new journey with OG. The script of the film is strong and entertaining and it offers me a challenging role, I look forward to working with Pawan Kalyan sir, Sujeeth, Danayya sir and the team. I am confident that we will create a memorable cinematic experience for the audience.”

Many Bollywood heroes are expanding their reach by working in the South. Apart from Emraan, Saif Ali Khan will also be making his Telugu debut with NTR Jr’s Devara Part 1, also starring Janhvi Kapoor. Bobby Deol will be seen in Surya’s Tamil film Kanguva. Shilpa Shetty is making a comeback in the Kannada film industry with KD aka Kingdom. Actor Varun Dhawan is following the footsteps of Shahrukh Khan and doing Hindi-Tamil film Baby John with debutant director Kalis.

Emraan is also rumored to be in talks for Adivi Shesh’s ZEE2, the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Goodachari. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding his casting in the film. Apart from this, Imran is also said to be a part of Ae Watan Mere Watan.
