Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to the hospital this morning after his licensed revolver accidentally fired and he was shot in the leg. The incident occurred around 4:45 am when he was checking his weapon before going out. Initial reports suggest that the bullet hit him in the knee, following which he was immediately taken to Criticare Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. Till now, Govinda’s family and team have not issued any official statement regarding his condition.
The actor had to fly to Kolkata early in the morning
According to sources, the actor was to take a flight to Kolkata early in the morning. According to hospital sources, Govinda was admitted to the hospital at 5.15 am and now his condition is said to be out of danger. Police reached the spot to assess the situation and seized Govinda’s revolver. The matter is under investigation.
Govinda releases audio message after accidentally being shot with revolver
After being accidentally shot in the leg on Friday morning, actor-politician Govinda has come forward and given his first reaction about the incident. Govinda has released an audio message in which he can be heard thanking the medical staff and his fans for their prayers. In the message he also informed that the bullet has been successfully removed and his condition is now stable. Govinda said in his audio message, ‘Hello, greetings, I am Govinda. Because of the blessings of all of you or the blessings of your parents or the grace of your Guru, the bullet was hit but it has come out. I thank the doctor here or all of you for your prayers. Thank you guys.

What happened to Govinda?
The actor was scheduled to go to Kolkata to participate in a show. While packing clothes from the cupboard, the revolver fell down and he was shot in his left leg. The bullet was fired after the pistol fell on the ground. Govinda was shot below the knee.
