Honda Racing India rider Rakshit Dave will represent India in Asia Talent Cup 2024. Loktej Sports News

Gurugram, 21 November (HS). 15-year-old rider Rakshit Srihari Dave from Chennai is all set to represent India at the prestigious Asia Talent Cup 2024. The selection event began at Malaysia’s prestigious Sepang Circuit, where a group of 89 riders set out to earn their place in this challenging competition. Of those, only 41 riders demonstrated remarkable skill, determination and promise to take them to the final stage of the competition.
As a testament to his incredible talent and commitment to the world of motorcycle racing, Rakshit Dave earned his spot in the Asia Talent Cup 2024 along with 10 other riders from various Asia-Oceania countries. 20 full-time riders are set to compete in the IATC’s 2024 season from ten countries: Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Rakshit was first recognized at the Idemitsu Honda India Talent Hunt program in 2018 at a very young age and trained under the Honda Racing Academy. He started his professional racing career in 2019 in the CBR150R category and finished second runner-up and first runner up in 2020 and 2021 respectively. They were upgraded to the NSF 250R category for the 2022 season. This year also he has secured the first runner up position in the Honda NSF250R category.
Rakshit said, “This has always been my dream, and I am excited that it has come true. I thank Honda Racing India for giving me the opportunity to represent our Indian team on the global stage. This will be a great platform as it will bring new experiences and learning to my career in motorsports. At the moment, I am focusing on enhancing my skills with my instructors. Now, I will work on my techniques, understand the NSF250R machine better, and test all its capabilities to get better results in each round. As a solo Indian rider, I will try my best to make my team and country proud.”
