I wore more than 200 outfits for ‘Delhi Ke Sultan’: Mouni Roy – Dainik Savera Times
Mumbai: Actress Mouni Roy, who is awaiting the release of her first streaming series ‘Sultan of Delhi’, is very happy that she got the opportunity to play a very stylish character, for which she had to work very hard. For her character, she had to try 200 outfits and do many experiments with her hair.
Mouni will be seen adopting a retro vibe with a classic, beautiful dress and hair-style. ‘Sultan of Delhi’ is based on Arnab Ray’s book ‘Sultan of Delhi: Ascension’. It is a larger than life mass entertainer made for streaming. It also stars Anupriya Goenka, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada along with Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjum Sharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak and Nishant Dahiya in lead roles.
Talking about her look and character, Mouni said, ‘Every girl enjoys dressing up and looking different. In ‘Sultan of Delhi’, I got a chance to change my style and color scheme in every episode as Nayanthara. Finding the perfect look for the character is a very difficult task and I have worn more than 200 outfits and have also done many experiments with my hair.
He further added, ‘After trying more than 10 test-looks, we finally got what we wanted. Nayanthara brings a lot of glamor and shine to the story in her own way. This is the first time I am adopting the 60s look and I am very excited to show this side of me to the audience.’ ‘Sultan of Delhi’ will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from October 13.
