IMD scientist RK Jenamani said, ‘Today the heat wave is over in the whole of India. From today the temperature will decrease and it will be cloudy. We have issued Orange Alert for Hailstorm, Thunderstorm and Rain in Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh. There is a possibility of heavy rains in the hilly areas for the next 2-3 days. There are chances of storm in East India as well.
Whereas, on May 25, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh. At the same time, on May 24 and 25, hailstorm warning has been issued in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. Hail will fall in Himachal Pradesh on May 24. Strong winds are about to blow. Northwest India on 24th and 25th May.
Talking about Northeast India, light to moderate rain is going to occur in Assam, Meghalaya for the next three days. Whereas, there will be heavy rains in Mizoram, Tripura between May 24 and 26.
