Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Khan (70) is evading arrest in the Toshakhana case and is not coming out of his Zaman Park house which has been surrounded by hundreds of his supporters.

Deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan will appear before a court here on Friday and assure that he is ready to appear on Saturday before the judge presiding over a corruption case against him. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Khan (70) is evading arrest in the Toshakhana case and is not coming out of his Zaman Park house which has been surrounded by hundreds of his supporters.

For the last few days, supporters have been clashing with the police and rangers. PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary told media persons on Friday, “Imran Khan himself will come to the Lahore High Court and assure the judge that he is ready to go to the Islamabad court.” He said an affidavit has also been given to the court. Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal in Islamabad had on February 28 reissued the non-bailable arrest warrant for Khan and asked the police to bring him to court by March 18. The judge, while hearing the matter, said that Khan should surrender unconditionally before getting any relief from the court. Khan has skipped several hearings in the case.
