Kanpur . Team India clean sweeps the test series against Bangladesh. India remains at number 1 in the World Test Championship and its position has become stronger. India has not lost a Test series at home for the last 12 years and this is the team’s 18th consecutive series win. Kanpur Test was affected by rain for three days but there was record rainfall along with water.




After the second and third days of the Kanpur Test were washed out in rain, it seemed that this match would be a draw but Team India did something on the fourth day which attracted the attention of the whole world to this match. In Test cricket, Team India showed the style of T20 to the cricket fans and won the match which seemed to be a draw in a one-sided fashion and achieved a resounding victory by 7 wickets.

With this victory, India has won the series 2-0. Ashwin was adjudged Player of the Series for his brilliant performance while Jaiswal was adjudged Player of the Match. Many individual and team records were also made in this match, let’s take a look at those figures.

The Indian team made records of 50,100,150, 200 and 250 runs at a fast pace during its innings. That means these runs were never scored at such a fast pace in Test cricket.

The Indian team’s batting run rate was 8.2, the highest in any other Test innings.

Rohit and Yashasvi made a partnership of 50 runs in 19 balls, which is the fastest in any red ball.

Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has equaled the world record of Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan by winning the Player of the Series title for his winning all-round performance in the Test series against Bangladesh.

Ashwin, who took two wickets in the first innings of the Kanpur Test and three wickets in the second innings, scored a total of 114 runs in this series and took 11 wickets, due to which he received the Player of the Series award for the 11th time in his career. Muralitharan also won 11 Player of the Series awards in his career.

Ravindra Jadeja has become the third Indian player to take 300 wickets and score three thousand runs in Test cricket. Before Jadeja, Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin had achieved this feat.

Indian team’s star batsman Virat Kohli has become the fastest batsman to score 27 thousand international runs, leaving behind a big record of great batsman Sachin Tendulkar during the first innings of the second test match against Bangladesh.
