New Delhi, October 2 (HS). Regarding the increasing tension between Israel and Iran, India said on Wednesday that we are concerned about the worsening security situation in West Asia. India has asked all concerned to exercise restraint and ensure the safety of civilians.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it is important that the current conflict does not take a broader regional form. India has insisted on resolving all issues through discussion and diplomacy.
The statement did not directly mention Iran’s missile attack on Israel or the events preceding it. There is no direct criticism of any party in this.
Earlier, the Government of India had issued an advisory advising citizens not to undertake non-essential travel to Iran. Also, Indians living in Iran have been asked to be alert about the situation.
This advisory has been issued in view of Iran’s attack on Israel and the warning of the Jewish country which is struggling on many fronts in the Middle East. The Ministry of External Affairs says that India is closely monitoring the recent tensions in the security situation in the region.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dr. Jaishankar has expressed concern over the increasing situation of tension between Israel and Iran in the Middle East. He has also appealed to everyone to consider its global implications. He expressed concern that this tension could widen the conflict.
During a conversation with a think tank in Washington, he said that we are worried about the possibility of conflict increasing. Israel’s response after the terrorist attack was necessary but any country should keep international humanitarian law in mind while reacting. He must be careful about the damage or impact it may cause to civilians.
It is noteworthy that last night Iran fired a large number of ballistic missiles at Israel. Many of these have also hit their targets. There is no clear information about the loss yet. Israel has warned Iran against this attack. Many countries of the world have condemned Iran’s attack.
