Ishaan Khatter’s film ‘Pippa’ will not release on OTT
Mumbai : The makers of Ishaan Khatter’s upcoming film ‘Pippa’ have made it clear that the film will not release on OTT. On Thursday, there were reports that the film, based on the 1971 war, will release digitally as some differences were going on with the makers and multiplex owners of the film.
However, on Friday, a joint statement was issued by producers Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Siddharth Roy Kapur along with PVR Inox’s Kamal Gianchandani, who also represents the Multiplex Association of India (MAI). The makers have denied all the rumours.
The statement further said, “Official statement from Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Kamal Gianchandani. This is with regard to an article which appeared yesterday in a newspaper publication with the title ‘Pipped for OTT release’, which made some completely baseless claims regarding the same.
“Neither the makers nor any multiplex operator was contacted for comment prior to publication of this article. Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Kamal Gianchandani of PVRinox, who also represent the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) as its presidents “RSVP and Roy Kapur Films have no issues with multiplex operators.”

The release date will be announced soon. Pippa is being directed by Raja Krishna Menon and also stars Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan.
