Israel has once again attacked Syrian military bases. Israel carried out airstrikes at several places in Syria’s Homs province today i.e. on Sunday, in which five soldiers were injured. Syrian government media gave this information. Government media in Iran have reported that an Iranian advisor who was injured in an Israeli attack on Friday has died.

Iran has been supporting the government of President Bashar Assad since the start of the conflict in Syria in March 2011 and has been sending advisers since the early days of the war. The ‘Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ said on Sunday that Israel has targeted various targets for the ninth time since the beginning of this year.

State news agency ‘Sana’ quoted military sources as saying that several places were targeted in the city of Homs and the surrounding areas. The agency claimed that Syria’s air defense system shot down some Israeli missiles in the air. The ‘Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ reported that the missile struck Syrian military bases and installations of militias affiliated with Iran, including a research center.

At present, no statement has been issued by Israel regarding the attacks. Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes in government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years. On Friday, Israel carried out airstrikes on a suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus, in which an Iranian advisor was killed. This information has been given by the media of Syria and Iran.

Iran’s state TV reported on Friday that Iranian military commander Milad Haidari had been killed in what it described as a “criminal attack” by Israel. Iran’s state TV reported on Sunday that an adviser to the Revolutionary Guard who was wounded in Friday’s attack had died. State TV identified the adviser as Meghdad Mahgani and said his funeral would take place in Damascus on Sunday.
