It is not possible to double the income of farmers without adopting animal husbandry: Ministe

Uttar Pradesh’s Sugarcane Development and Sugar Mill Affairs Minister Chaudhary Lakshmi Narayan said on Friday that the income of farmers can be doubled only if they pay full attention to animal husbandry. This is not possible without adopting animal husbandry. Addressing the one-day ‘National Goat Fair and Kisan Gosthi’ organized by the National Central Goat Research Institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research at Makhdoom village located on the Agra-Delhi National Highway, Chaudhary Lakshminarayan said that the Prime Minister had set a target a few years back. It was said that the income of the farmers will be doubled in the next five years, for which the central and state governments have made every possible effort and have achieved the target to a large extent.

But, I have a clear opinion that the farmer’s income can be doubled only when he pays full attention to animal husbandry. Can produce, so the farmer’s income cannot be doubled only by relying on farming. Giving the example of sheep and goat rearing and its commercial use, the minister said that even today deadly diseases like dengue are treated with medicines. When it is not possible, then people are eager to buy goat’s milk at the price of one and a half to two thousand rupees per liter.

Similarly, sheep’s milk beats modern medical methods many times in joining broken bones. Giving his own example in this regard, Choudhary told that once after an accident, he had to remain bed-ridden for one and a half year, then the treatment which could not be possible in AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), he started drinking sheep’s milk. And it was done by massaging it with khoya made from it.
