Kanpur . On the fifth and last day of the Kanpur Test, the Indian cricket team performed brilliantly and captured the series by defeating Bangladesh by 7 wickets. Due to the excellent performance of the Indian bowlers and batsmen, the team achieved this victory and won the series 2-0.




From India’s side, Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored the maximum 51 runs in the second innings, Virat Kohli has scored 29 runs, Captain Rohit Sharma has scored 8 runs, Shubhman Gill has scored 6 runs. Mehdi Hasan has taken maximum 2 wickets for Bangladesh. Taijul Islam has taken one wicket.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets each to bowl out Bangladesh for 146 runs in just 47 overs in the second innings on Tuesday, the fifth and final day of the second Test, giving India 62 overs to win. The target of 95 runs was achieved.

On the last day, till drinks in the first session, Bangladesh had lost only one wicket but in the second phase, Indian bowlers took seven wickets. Apart from the pair of Jadeja and Bumrah, Akash Deep also took the important wicket of Shadman (50) as he was playing after scoring a half-century.

Ashwin struck early and dismissed first innings centurion Mominul Haq (2) cheaply. Shadman Islam and captain Nazmul Shanto showed good resistance; Mixing caution and aggression and scored a 50 plus partnership in a short space of time. But the Bangladesh captain’s wrong reverse sweep against Jadeja led to the fall of wickets.

They reached 94/7 from 91/3 after Jadeja dismissed three and Akash Deep dismissed Shadman. Bumrah made a comeback and took some wickets and restricted the visiting team to 146 runs in the second innings.

Bumrah took three wickets for 17 runs in 10 overs, Ashwin took three wickets for 50 runs in 15 overs and Jadeja played an important role in defeating Bangladesh by taking three wickets for 34 runs in 10 overs. Akash Deep got one wicket for 20 runs in eight overs.
