Speaking to PTI, GlobalLogic President and CEO Nitesh Banga said the company is looking for talent in India and plans to increase its workforce by 25-35 per cent every year.

India is set to make significant gains amid a slowdown in the country’s information technology (IT) sector, says a top executive of GlobalLogic, a US-based company. Speaking to PTI, GlobalLogic President and CEO Nitesh Banga said the company is looking for talent in India and plans to increase its workforce by 25-35 per cent every year.

He said that despite the huge number of layoffs in the US, India is not going to do the soft stuff anymore. Banga said, “If Google, Twitter or Facebook or any of these customers actually put people out of a job in the US, it’s not that they don’t need to build a product. They will still have work to do and I am sure a large portion of that work will go to India because they will still need talent to get their work done. Although companies would now like to do this at a lower cost. He said, “We recruit around 1,000 people a month. 50% of them hire in India. We will increase this number by 25-35 per cent every year.
