People were eagerly waiting for this match between Maharashtra Ironmen and Golden Eagles Uttar Pradesh. Maharashtra Ironmen started the match aggressively. Right from the first whistle, this team started trying to take the lead in the match. Unfortunately, Ironmen’s Ranjit Singh got injured in the opening minutes of the game and had to stretch out.
An early injury, however, proved no deterrent for the Maharashtra team. Igor Chiseliov, Manjeet Kumar and Jalal Kiyani were in good form. He was showing good combination in the beginning of the match and was also scoring. Ironmen goalkeeper Naveen Deshwal also put in a stellar performance to help his team establish an unassailable lead. Naveen even denied Sukhbir Singh Brar a penalty in the first half. In the 15th minute of the match, the score was 11-6 in favor of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Golden Eagles Uttar Pradesh were finding it difficult to stop the Ironmen from free scoring. The Ironmen started the second half in a similar fashion to the first half. Chiselyov, Kiyani and Manjeet ensured that their team maintained the same momentum as in the first half in the second half. Ironman’s Ankit Kumar was also slowly finding his rhythm. He was supporting players like Manjeet and Kiyani brilliantly. The Golden Eagles looked unfazed by the Ironmen’s attacking prowess and continued to struggle to find a foothold in the match.

The Golden Eagles had done well in their last match thanks to Sukhbir Singh Brar and Vikas, but in this match, even these two could not stop the Ironmen from consolidating their lead.
