Fatorda: ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) lifted the Indian Super League (ISL) title for the first time by defeating Bengaluru FC 2-2 (Shootout 4-3) in a thrilling final. Dimitri Petratos opened ATKMB’s account in the 14th minute but Sunil Chhetri (45+5) and Roy Krishna (78th) scored one goal each at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday to give Bengaluru the lead. Petratos sealed Bengaluru’s victory by scoring in the 85th minute to take the match to a shootout.

In the shootout, Alain Costa and Krishna scored the opening goals for Bengaluru, while Petratos and Colaco scored for the Mariners. The turning point came when Vishal Kaith disallowed Bruno Ramires to score BFC’s third penalty. Qian Nasiri scored a goal to give the Mariners a 3-2 lead. Chhetri and Manvir scored in the fourth penalty for Bengaluru and ATKMB.

Pablo Perez needed to score the last penalty to keep Bangalore alive in the match but his shot went over the post under pressure as the Mariners won 4–3. ATKMB, playing in the ISL final for the second time, took home a prize money of Rs 6 crore with this win, while the runners-up Bengaluru got Rs 2.5 crore.
