Ingredients to make Lauki Halwa
– 2 cups grated bottle gourd
– 1 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup grated coconut
– 1/4 cup ghee
– 1 cup milk
– 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
– Chopped nuts to garnish
How to make Lauki Halwa
– First of all, heat ghee in a pan, then add grated bottle gourd and fry it well.
Fry the bottle gourd until its rawness goes away. When the gourd gets cooked and becomes soft, add grated coconut and sugar to it and cook the mixture while stirring occasionally.
– After this add milk and mix cardamom powder. When you feel that the gourd has absorbed all the milk, then turn off the flame, add chopped dry fruits to the halwa, garnish it and the halwa prasad is ready to be offered to Maa Durga.
