New changes in China’s Spring Festival travel – Dainik Savera Times

The 2024 Spring Festival transportation is the first normalized Spring Festival transportation after the changes in epidemic prevention and control. The number of passengers is expected to reach 9 billion in 40 days, which is a new record.

The Changtu-Zigong-Yibin railway opened for operation late last year. It is the second high-speed rail in the city of Yibin, known as the “first city on the Yangtze River”. During this year’s Spring Festival travel period, Changtu Railway Bureau’s Yibin Depot is expected to carry 12 million 80 thousand passengers, an increase of 10.5% from the same period last year.

Zhengzhou East Railway Station is a major node in Hainan province’s high-speed rail network. During rush hour, a high-speed train passes through here every 78 seconds. Since the start of Spring Festival travel this year, there have been approximately 2 lakh 80 thousand passengers at Jeng Jo East Railway Station every day, which is a significant increase from the same period last year.

Airplanes, high-speed rail, trains, long-distance buses, self-driving and other travel modes are available in parallel for travel. According to statistics, from the beginning of the Spring Festival travel on January 26 to February 11, the number of inter-regional people’s movement across the society exceeded 3 billion 500 million.

There are more people, more “cars”, and also more ways for people to celebrate the Spring Festival. On the eve of the Chinese traditional New Year, the domestic large-scale cruise ship “Aida·Modu”, carrying more than 4,500 passengers, set out on a wonderful New Year journey at sea. Tourists said that spending the Spring Festival on this large domestic cruise ship was very memorable.
