He is optimistic about increasing the customer supply. Rajesh Gopinathan, who was the CEO of TCS for six years, announced his resignation on Thursday. Gopinathan had more than four years left in his second term. He will leave his post on 15 September.

The company said that its BSFI category president Krithivasan will lead the company as CEO with immediate effect. The BSFI category currently contributes 31.5 per cent to the company’s income. Gopinathan (52 years) said he had joined Tata Industries 27 years ago and TCS 22 years ago and during this time he never thought of changing jobs. However, he did not reveal his plans after September 15.

In a video conference on Friday, Krithivasan said, it is not in the work culture of TCS that if the company gets a new head, then there should be radical strategic changes. We will continue to work focusing on the customers. There will be changes depending on the demand of the market. He said, our culture of one team will remain. We don’t change strategically when a new CEO comes into the company, he said. But we will change according to our customers. “I expect to double the supply,” he said.
