Ola sold 23,965 electric scooters in September
Ola Electric had sold 23,965 electric scooter units in the month of September. This is the second consecutive month that month-on-month sales have declined and this comes just two months after the company went public in its much-discussed IPO. However, all is not well and there may be a lot hidden behind these figures.
Bajaj Auto sold 18,933 units of its e-Chetak last month, while TVS also registered a month-on-month growth by selling 17,865 units of its iQube. Both have managed to reduce the gap with Ola Electric in terms of monthly sales. Based on these figures, Bajaj Auto is now the number 2 e-scooter manufacturer in the country. More importantly, No. 2 and No. 3 are keeping No. 1 in their cross-hairs. And Ola Electric, which sold over 52,000 units in March this year, continues to decline.
