Pathan has proved to be a blockbuster. The film, which marks the return of Shah Rukh Khan to the big screen after four years, has brought joy and celebration to audiences across the country and across the globe. Be it the business of the film, or the excitement amongst the fans about the film, this is the most fitting comeback for a superstar and a slap on the faces of all those who were saying no to it. Shah Rukh Khan, along with Salman Khan, not only provided the audience with a heavy dose of entertainment, but also gave us a scene worthy of being included in the classics of cinema, which is worth talking about. We are talking about the mid-credit scene where Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan are sitting and talking to each other.

In the film, Shahrukh Khan played the role of RAW agent Pathan. By now, everyone knows that Salman Khan aka Tiger makes a grand entry and saves our hero in the hour of need. However, what makes Salman’s cameo one of the best in years is the treatment. From Bhaag Pathan Bhaag reminiscing Karan Arjun to Salman promising Shah Rukh a cameo in Tiger 3, the audience went gaga. However, to top it all are the two superstars who share a heartfelt chat at the end of the film.

Both Pathan and Tiger are agents who, as mentioned, have been in service for over 30 years. Pathan says, I also think sometimes, it has been 30 years. Now we must leave. (Sometimes I think it’s been 30 years, we should retire now). But who will take our place? (But aho humari place le lega?), comes Tiger’s reply. He thinks of a few names before concluding, but in the end says we have to do it, can’t leave it to the kids.

This scene of the movie is epic as when it seems that Pathan and Tiger are having a conversation, it is clearly talking about Salman Khan and actor Shah Rukh Khan. The acting career of the superstars has spanned over 30 years. Though there have been many actors who have come and been a part of the industry, but none could achieve the superstardom that the Khans have. In fact, while kids would be scared of trends like boycotting Bollywood, it would take someone like Shah Rukh Khan, or Salman Khan to give back to the negative ones.

It’s not for nothing that Shah Rukh Khan is called the Badshah of Bollywood, and the enthusiasm surrounding Pathan is proof that despite back-to-back flops, or a lull in his career, when Shah Rukh returned decided to come – he really came back in all his glory.
