New Delhi/Abu Dhabi, 13 February (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving today (Tuesday) on a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates. During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He will inaugurate the first Hindu temple ‘Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha’ temple in Abu Dhabi. Prime Minister Modi will also address the Indian community in Abu Dhabi.

In New Delhi, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said that Prime Minister Modi will also meet the Vice President, Prime Minister and Defense Minister of the United Arab Emirates. Prime Minister Modi will participate in the World Government Summit-2024 in Dubai.

According to Quatra, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Modi will discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest during the bilateral meeting. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s fifth meeting with the President of UAE in the last eight months.

According to the release issued regarding the Prime Minister’s program in Abu Dhabi, Modi will address the ‘Ahlan Modi’ program at Zayed Sports City Stadium. Organizers say that despite the bad weather in the UAE, there has been no decline in the enthusiasm of the Indian community living here. Over 2,500 people attended the full ground rehearsal despite heavy rain.

UAE Ambassador to India Abdulnasser Alshali described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the UAE as “extremely important” for bilateral relations and expressed hope that it will take the strategic relationship to new heights.

According to Khaleej Times newspaper, Indian Prime Minister Modi will address more than 60,000 members of the Indian expatriate community during the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday evening. Event organizers said registration was closed due to the “overwhelming response” from the Indian community. On Wednesday, the Indian Prime Minister will first participate in the World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai. He will deliver the keynote address at the summit.
