PTI on the verge of ending with General Asim Munir’s counterattack, Imran Khan’s political career in Pakistan over?

Islamabad: The troubles of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan are not taking the name of abatement. On 25 April 1996, Imran started Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) with great ambitions. When he became PM for the first time in the year 2018, one of his objectives was also fulfilled. But now it seems that his party is only a guest for a short time. On Tuesday, senior leader of his party, Shireen Majri, left the party and on Wednesday, Fawad Chaudhary also said goodbye to it. Former Finance Minister Asad Umar is also leaving the party. After seeing all these developments, experts have now started questioning Imran’s political career as well.

How many have left till now

Many leaders including Dr. Shireen Mazri, Faiyazul Hasan Chauhan, Malik Amin Aslam, Mehmood Maulvi, Amir Kayani, Jai Prakash, Aftab Siddiqui and Sanjay Gangwani have gone from PTI so far. While former Broadcasting Minister and party spokesperson Fawad Chaudhary cited a break from politics, Shireen quit PTI citing health and daughter Iman Mazari.

According to Michael Kugelman, who is the director of the South Asia Institute at the Wilson Center, another leader of the party, Fawad Chaudhary, has announced to leave the party. It is clear that now all the roads are being closed for the party. More than two dozen PTI leaders have left. But in the end PTI is Imran Khan and Imran Khan is PTI. If he goes to jail, then the existence of the party can also be in danger.
Pakistan’s party PTI continues to disintegrate, now Fawad Chaudhary said goodbye, broke ties with Imran as well
So will PTI end
If he is to be believed, then the issue will be that what is the big mass base of the party. If Imran Khan goes to jail, then it is difficult that the mass base will remain for a long time. Then who will be the one who will fill this empty space? According to some other experts, the manner in which the leaders are leaving the party will not only weaken PTI but will also prove to be a threat to Pakistan. At the same time, Imran says that his leaders are being ‘forcibly divorced’ from the party ‘at gunpoint’. Some people believe that efforts are on to break PTI and form a separate faction. It is similar to the way PML-N was split and PML-Q party was formed overnight.

what happened to nawaz
If experts are to be believed, General Asim Munir has played the same trick which was once played by Pervez Musharraf. The situation in Pakistan today was the same when Musharraf had carried out the coup. Musharraf succeeded in breaking the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the party of former PM Nawaz Sharif. When Musharraf carried out the coup, many leaders of Nawaz’s party left him.

When the general elections were held in 1997, Nawaz had differences with some leaders of his own party. Musharraf saw this and split the party. In 2002, dissident party leaders met Musharraf, who had become President at that time. The Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) was launched on 20 July 2002. Later this party became an integral part of Musharraf’s government.
