MUMBAI: Actress Rani Mukerji has opened up about why the film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway portrays the lead of a mother. The film resonates with one emotion, which is the feeling of a mother, said Rani in an exclusive BTS clip shared with IMDb. This film reminds all the children of the world that there is no greater feeling or relationship than a mother. As a mother, I could not put myself in Sagarika’s shoes as being separated from my child is a painful thought.

He further said, I cannot even imagine it. Even animals have a natural instinct with their children that if someone tries to take away their children, the mother will directly attack. It is the same with human mothers.

You forget to thank your mothers and take them for granted. I hope that after watching this film, many sons and daughters will reach out to their mothers and hug and kiss them tightly.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is directed by Ashima Chibber. It stars Rani Mukerji, Arniban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta and Jim Sarbh.

The film is an adaptation of the true story of an Indian couple, based on the mother- Sagarika Chakraborty’s autobiography titled The Journey of a Mother, whose children were taken away from them by the Norwegian childcare system (Barnvernet) in 2011
