Rishabh Pant: Rishabh Pantla panic, BCCI took ‘high’ action
Pudhari Online Desk: IPL 2024: The clash between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings was colorful in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. In this match, Delhi defeated Chennai by 20 runs. Delhi’s Vijayat Warner, Pant, Mukesh and Khalil Ahmed would have had a big role. Delhi has faced Jinkla Aasla Taree captain Rishabh Pant and Vijay Changlach Mahagat has fallen. However, after being found guilty of slow over rate, Pantla has to face a fine of Rs 12 lakh.
According to the media release issued by IPL, ‘Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pantla was penalized due to slow over rate in the match played against Chennai Super Kings at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium in Visakhapatnam on 31 March. Or is this the first mistake of the Sangh during the commotion. Therefore, Pantla has been fined Rs 12 lakh as per the IPL code of conduct.
Earlier, in the match against Chennai, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gilala would have been penalized due to slow over rate.
Red alert for Pant (Rishabh Pant)
According to the rules of Slow Over Rate, in case of first default, only Rs 12 lakh penalty is imposed on the captain. If the captain misses the spot even in the second attempt, he will be fined Rs 24 lakh. Non-confederate players are fined Rs 6 lakh or 25 per cent of the match fee. After the third mistake, the captain will be fined Rs 30 lakh along with one referee, or the rest of the players in the association will be fined Rs 12 lakh each or 50 percent of the match fee.
