A senior officer gave this information. They said the bus was carrying at least 48 passengers on its way from the provincial capital Quetta to Karachi, the capital and main city of Sindh province. The bus hit a pillar on the bridge and caught fire after falling into a ditch. Lasbela’s assistant commissioner Hamza Anjum told the media that the accident happened due to over speeding in Lasbela area.

“While taking a U-turn near Lasbela, the bus hit a bridge pillar, fell into a gorge and then caught fire,” he said. Only three people, including a child and a woman, could be rescued alive, the official said. He told that the number of people who lost their lives in the accident may increase. According to officials, police and rescue officials are busy in pulling out the bodies and taking them to nearby hospitals.
