New Delhi: The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) has come to an end. In this, ‘RRR’, ‘Sita Ramam’, ‘777 Charlie’, ‘Kantara’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ have created a stir. The awards show ran from 15-16 September in Dubai, with the first night announcing the winners in the Telugu and Kannada categories and the second night announcing the winners in the Tamil and Malayalam categories.

SIIMA provides a platform to honor the artistry of South Indian cinema in all four languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada as well as gain international exposure. ‘RRR’ led the Telugu race with more than 11 nominations, while ‘Seetha Ramam’ gave a tough competition with more than 10 nominations. It was followed by ‘DJ Tillu’ with more than eight awards, ‘Major’ with six. ‘, ‘Karthike 2’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and ‘Dhamaka’ with five, ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, ‘Bimbisaar’ and ‘Ashoka Vanamalo Arjun Kalyanam’ with four, ‘Yashoda’ with three, ‘Hit: The Second Case’, ‘Virata Parvam’ and ‘Masuda’ came with two awards. In the Kannada category, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ along with ‘Kanthara’ led the race with 11 nominations.
