Rupee is trading in a limited range against American Dollar

In the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 83.09 per dollar, which is an increase of seven paise from the previous closing price. The rupee had also reached 83.13 per dollar in early trade. On Friday, the rupee had closed at 83.16 per dollar.
The rupee remained in a tight range in early trade on Monday in the interbank foreign exchange market. The rise in crude oil prices and strengthening of the American currency along with negative trend in the domestic market had an impact on the rupee.
In the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 83.09 per dollar, which is an increase of seven paise from the previous closing price. The rupee had also reached 83.13 per dollar in early trade. On Friday, the rupee had closed at 83.16 per dollar.
Meanwhile, the dollar index, which gauges the US dollar’s position against six major currencies, declined 0.04 per cent to 105.27. Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.40 percent higher at $94.31 per barrel.
