But despite this, a large section of India is very happy with this decision of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has started taking action against people praying for Gaza and Palestine in its country. Saudi Arabia has detained several people from Mecca and Medina, the two holiest sites of Islam. These people had come to Mecca and Medina under an agenda to raise slogans in support of Palestine.

Despite declaring support for Palestine, Saudi Arabia is reportedly detaining people praying for Gaza. Local reports said the kingdom was detaining Gazans praying at the holy site in Mecca. Islah Abdur-Rahman, a British actor and presenter, was detained by Saudi authorities while on pilgrimage, according to a report by Middle East Eye.

Speaking to the news agency, the British actor mentioned his visit to Mecca. I was stopped by four soldiers for wearing a white keffiyeh around my head and a Palestinian-colored tasbih around my wrist.

Abdur-Rahman also said that he was then taken to an off-site detention center where officers interrogated him. The authorities then released him. That means there will be no sloganeering for Gaza and Palestine at the holy place which is considered the holiest place in Islam.
