Shami and Siraj took three wickets each to wrap up Australia for 188.

Mumbai . Indian pacers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj bowled brilliantly to bundle out Australia for 188 in 35.4 overs in the first ODI on Friday, taking three wickets each. Australian opener Mitchell Marsh scored 81 runs alone in 65 balls, hitting 10 fours and five sixes.

For India, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets and captain Hardik Pandya and chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.

When Marsh and captain Steve Smith (22) were at the crease, it looked like Australia would post a big score. Although Hardik first walked Smith and Jadeja returned the pavilion to Mitchell Marsh looking dangerous. After this, English (26) did try to handle the innings but he too kept walking after playing a short innings. After this, the Indian bowlers, especially Shami, did not give Australia a chance to get back up.

Barring Shardul Thakur, all the bowlers who bowled for India took wickets. Although Shardul got a chance to bowl only two overs, but overall the Indian players performed all-round on the field. Hardik showed amazing captaincy. Changed the bowling at regular intervals. Excellent fielding was also shown on the field. Jadeja caught the catch of Marnus Labuschagne off the ball of Kuldeep.

Shami bowled English and Cameron Green. Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for eight and Marcus Stoinis scored five runs.(IANS)
