Regarding Navratri, preparations have been made to worship Goddess Ashtabhuja Durga Bhavani for the next nine days by installing Kalash in every house. Preparations for the worship of Maa Durga have been made by local puja committees at 50 to 60 places in the city by constructing puja pandals and statues in a grand and divine manner. All the Durga temples and goddess places have been painted and cleaned. Loudspeakers have been installed on the roadsides of the city and devotional songs and music have started emanating from them. The market is beginning to look vibrant. All the squares and market shops including Gudri Bazaar of the city are decorated with items related to mother’s adornment and decoration including Lal Chunari. Puja committees and common devotees made huge purchases of earthen lamps, jugs, lids, water, betel nuts, Kalash, Roli, Mauli etc. and other items related to puja on Thursday.
