Shares of Adani Group firms fall for the second consecutive day, monitoring continues on Adani Power

New Delhi : Shares of all 10 listed companies of Adani Group declined for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. Adani Enterprises suffered the most. Shares of Adani Enterprises fell 7.06 per cent on the BSE. Apart from this, Adani Ports lost 5.66 per cent, Adani Power five per cent, Adani Transmission five per cent, Adani Green Energy five per cent, Adani Total Gas five per cent and Adani Wilmar 4.99 per cent.
Market cap dropped by Rs 80,096.75 crore
With this, NDTV shares fell 4.99 per cent, ACC 4.22 per cent and Ambuja Cements 2.91 per cent. During the day’s trading, shares of many companies of the group touched their lower circuit. On the other hand, the 30-share BSE Sensex fell 40.14 points or 0.07 per cent to 57,613.72 points in highly volatile trade. The market capitalization of Adani Group companies collectively declined by Rs 80,096.75 crore in two trading sessions.
Most loss in Adani Power on Monday as well
In contrast to the partial rise in the domestic stock market, on Monday also, the shares of all 10 listed companies of Adani Group declined. Adani Power was the biggest loser in the BSE by 4.98 per cent, while Adani Transmission also suffered a loss of 4.98 per cent. Adani Wilmar shares declined by 4.93 per cent, while Adani Total Gas registered a loss of 4.91 per cent.
Monitoring continues on Adani Green Energy
On the other hand, the news also came that the stock market NSE and BSE said that Adani Green Energy will be placed under the second phase of long-term Additional Monitoring Measures (ASM) from Tuesday, March 28. This information was given in the circular of the stock exchanges. It added that Adani Green Energy will continue to be within the purview of the ASM framework, but will be shifted to the corresponding higher phase from March 28. Earlier, NSE and BSE had shifted Adani Group companies Adani Total Gas and Adani Transmission from the second phase of long-term SSM to the first phase on Friday. Earlier, on March 17, both the stock exchanges placed Adani Green Energy and NDTV in the first leg of long-term ASM.
