New Delhi, 21 November (HS). Amid strong global signals, both the major indices of the stock market closed with gains on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex closed at 65,930.77, up 275.62 points or 0.42 percent. Whereas the Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) closed at 19,783.40 points with a gain of 89.40 points or 0.45 percent.
At the end of trading, out of 30 Sensex shares, 18 shares saw a rise and only 12 shares saw a decline. Shares of pharma, realty and metal have seen a rise of one percent. Global reasons are being considered to be the reason for the rise in the market. Due to this, there was continuous buying and at the end of trading, both the indices were successful in closing with gains.
Major Sensex stocks include JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Titan Company, Reliance, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, Airtel, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finserv, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, UltraTech Cement, M&M, HCL Tech, Infosys, Shares of Nestle and Wipro closed with gains. At the same time, shares of NTPC, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, SBI, TCS, Kotak Mahindra, Power Grid, ITC, IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints and HUL declined.
It is noteworthy that on Monday, the first trading day of the week, the Sensex fell by 139.58 points or 0.21 percent and closed at the level of 65,655.15. At the same time, Nifty also slipped by 37.80 points or 0.19 percent and closed at the level of 19,694.00.
